Macleod Corporation Pty Ltd was formed in May 1998.
The company was initially the trustee of a service trust for the partnership Macleod Partners. Macleod Partners was a partnership between David Cheah and Paul Gilbert which purchased the accounting practice of Terry Robson of TA Robson Co, which was based out of offices at 10 Macleod Road Applecross. Macleod – being the road name was chosen rather than surnames to link the geographic location as an ongoing business connection rather than individual personalities.
In June 2000, the partnership split, David retained the business premises, and Paul moved to 17 Ogilvie Road Mt Pleasant. Paul practised in Ogilvie Road until 2007, when he moved to Albany to take up an interest in the boatbuilding business Westerberg Aluminium Boats Pty Ltd
Macleod Corporation Pty Ltd is now now a CPA branded public practice which provides specialist audit services.
